Treatment of gum recession

First we will need to assess the type of gum recession you have to determine how to best treat you. If it is possible to do a gum graft or “periodontal plastic surgery” we will take a small piece of gum from the roof of your mouth, and transplant it over the exposed root surface. The gum graft will heal over the root surface, making it look better and reducing the chances of further gum recession in the future. If this is not possible we could make a prosthesis out of soft silicone to replace the missing gum.
